The Armed Forces of Pakistan are steadfast in their commitment to counter any anti-state narrative, asserts Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry. In a recent news conference, Chaudhry emphasized the Armed Forces' unwavering stance against any form of collusion or anti-state activities. He highlighted the PTI founder's relentless anti-state narrative as a significant threat to national security, stating that it has become a source of concern for the country. Chaudhry expressed respect for constructive criticism and freedom of expression, but made it clear that no individual or entity should attempt to create a divide between the people and the Armed Forces of Pakistan. While acknowledging the respectability of all political parties, he stressed the importance of keeping the armed forces out of political matters. Chaudhry further revealed that the PTI founder's narrative is deeply intertwined with external actors, particularly the Indian media and Afghan media outlets. He presented a detailed chart illustrating the timeline of tweets by the PTI founder and his party's accounts, which were then disseminated by Indian and Afghan media, raising questions about the influence and reach of these narratives. The DG ISPR also questioned the obsession of the PTI founder with the Pak Army, showcasing social media trends and fake news surrounding recent notifications and disinformation campaigns. Regarding PTI's criticism of Afghan policy and talks with Khawarij, Chaudhry asserted that the security of the state cannot be compromised. He reiterated the Armed Forces' belief in dialogue, but specifically with non-terrorist entities, excluding Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan. The operationalization of the Chief of Defence Forces Headquarters was described as a significant milestone for Pakistan's national security, comparable to similar headquarters in around seventy countries.
